How To Make Healthier Choices When Eating Out

How to make healthier choices eating out

  1. Look for “enlightened” or “light” menu options.  These typically are created for the more health conscious diner and will be lighter in calories and fat.
  2. Choose salads with the option to add protein; such as fish, shrimp, chicken breast, or steak.
  3. Ask if you can order “sides” to create your meal.  Most restaurants will have grilled chicken breast, steak, fish or shrimp as side protein options.  Most restaurants will also have plain veggie options such as steamed broccoli or asparagus that you can request without added butter or oils.  To meet fat and carb needs, ask for a side of avocado and plain brown rice or potatoes (sweet or red skin are usually available).

Pssst...What’s the best collagen booster?

Is it powdered collagen?  Liquid collagen?  Skin treatments?

It’s actually exercise!  Exercise, especially resistance training, is proven to be a potent collagen booster for up to 72 hours after exercising by increasing the body’s own natural production of collagen.  This boost in collagen production is beneficial for joints and skin, giving skin a fuller, softer, hydrated and more youthful appearance.
